Ruhl Bee Supply is deeply immersed in the beekeeping community of the Pacific Northwest and embedded in its history. We have been supplying and teaching Northwest beekeepers for 114 years. Based in Gladstone, Oregon, we have the largest beekeeping retail store in the Northwest, along with a large warehouse crammed with beekeeping stock.
We manufacture a significant portion of our products to support the unique needs of the Northwest's diverse climate. We test out all of our products in our own apiaries. One of our beeyards is in the foothills east of the Cascade Mountains, where the weather is drier and more extreme. Our other beeyards are in the wetter climes of the Willamette valley, west the Cascades.
Beekeeping is unique among agricultural activities. It is based on a symbiotic relationship, in which we host the bees in the hope of pollination, surplus honey, and the pleasure of observing the sophisticated workings of this highy structured social organism called a beehive.
Our online store provides everything a beekeeper could want to keep healthy and productive bees. We are continaully expanding our online store with more products, higher quality products, and better pricing.
Our online store also offers goods that use locally produced products derived from the hive. We stock locally produced raw and pure honey, locally made candles, candlemaking supplies, bee-theme gifts, encaustic art work from wax traded with localbeekeepers, propolis, pollen, honey glazed jerky made in Oregon, and honey sweetened candy, etc.
