Ruhl Bee Supply
Beekeeping Basics
Tailored for the beekeeper-to-be and an
informative refresher for first-year "beeks", this
course will outline your hives' first year. Learn
what equipment you need (and what you don't)
and what to expect in this informative and very
popular class.

Please allow a bit of time after the officially
scheduled end time for a valuable Q&A session
and the possibility of this class running over a bit.

Bring a
snack for the break and a pen for your
notes!
Reserve early, as these classes fill up fast.
March 8 is likely to be our last Basics class of the

Getting Started
Interested in becoming a beekeeper?
Whether you live on a small urban lot
beekeeping is a great family project
that, with the right planning, can
actually pay for itself. No, really.

Your fruit and vegetable gardens will
increase in yield, you'll have natural
beeswax available for crafts or to sell
back to RBS, and, once your colonies
are established, you can market your
special brand of natural, raw honey to
your neighbors and friends.

Those with ten or so colonies can even
do well in the business of pollination,
earning $30-150/colony depending
upon your business plan, hive
management strategies and
networking skills.

At the very least, your eyes will open to
the wonders of local flora as you
become obsessed with what's
blooming!
